Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This is a collection of frequently asked questions and their answers. If you are curious about what MP-Video Productions can do for you, you may find some helpful information here. If you have questions that are not addressed here, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Can I see some examples of your work?
Certainly. A selection of videos can be seen right on this website, on the "Demo" page. You can click here to get there.
What types of projects can you support?
Maybe this can best be answered by explaining what types of projects MP-Video Productions will not work on:
- We will not participate in any projects that endorse violence or illegal activities.
- We will not accept work that results in copyright or trademark infringement.
- Also, the size of the project is important. MP-Video Productions is a small company, and we can not, for example, produce a complex feature-length movie.
For anything else, we'd be happy to discuss your project with you!
We want you to include music in our project. What are the rules?
The rules for using music or other copyrighted material in video productions – while fairly simple – are often misunderstood. Fact is that with very few exceptions, the use of any copyrighted material in a video production requires the consent of the copyright owner. Additional considerations are licenses to synchronize music with video/film (synchronization license) and to produce copies of the work (mechanical license). MP-Video Productions will be happy to guide you through this legal jungle; however, be advised that this is an expensive undertaking. For low-cost productions, there is an extensive library of royalty-free music available that can be purchased for an affordable fee and then used in your video.
Do you record weddings?
MP-Video Productions has no standard wedding video packages. A number of local videographers do this type of work, though.
Do you deliver high-definition content?
While we capture and process high-definition video, we cannot yet deliver Bluray discs - this will be available in the future. Until then, high definition video can be delivered on data files stored on DVDs, portable hard drives, etc.
